Course Description

Pioneer Offroad Rentals Training department now offers In-Vehicle Defensive driver training.

Over the years, Pioneer has set the standard in Trailer training for our clients, ensuring their staff is up to date on the latest laws, rules and safety standards when it comes to trailers. Having been so successful in this field, clients have reached out to us and asked us to develop and deliver a defensive driving course. Pioneer is proud to say, we are ready to help your staff be safer on the roads.

In Class Learning

  • Safe Driving a Shared Responsibility
  • Winter Driving
  • Statistics on Unsafe Driving (Distracted driving, speeding, DUI etc.)

Hands on Training

  • How to inspect your vehicle to maximize safety while on the roads.
  • Strategies on how to depart safely, travel safely and arrive safely
  • Driving with experienced instructor through city streets, learning valuable information along the way.
  • Practice emergency manoeuvers in a controlled location, learning how to avoid sudden obstacles and understanding the safety features found in all modern vehicles such as:
    • How ABS works and
    • How to work with it

Students will be tested on their knowledge of the material presented by a written test and will also be evaluated throughout the hands on portion of the training. A summary will be provided to the students and their hiring company (if requested). All successful students will receive a certificate valid for 3 years.
