Course Description

We now offer St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid – Level C CPR & AED taught by one of your favorite OHV trainers, Mike. He is now a certified St. John Ambulance First Aid & CPR Instructor!

Customers know Pioneer Offroad Rentals provides the best OHV operator training courses for ATVs, UTVs, Argos, and snowmobiles; in addition we have our online courses. Our customers frequently ask us about First Aid courses, so Mike went to St. John Ambulance to be certified as an instructor so we are proud to offer first aid courses to Pioneer customers. Mike is a professional instructor who enjoys student interaction, so he’s also makes his courses fun! He takes the time necessary to ensure every student on his course is safe, involved, comfortable, and confident in all the courses he instructs.

Learning Outcomes

The Standard First Aid – Level C CPR & AED two-day course covers all the required skills in emergency first aid and first aid for other injuries or illnesses, including:

  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Fractures of the upper and lower limbs
  • Two-person adult resuscitation
  • Level C CPR training for adult, child, and infant
  • AED training and certification
  • Mental health awareness

Student Registration

  • St. John Ambulance 2-day Standard First Aid – Level C CPR & AED (Full Course): $150 + GST per student, materials included. Valid for 3 years. Check our training calendar for upcoming dates.
  • St. John Ambulance 1-day (Recertification Course): $150 + GST per student, materials included. Valid for 3 years. Students must submit valid Standard First Aid – Level C CPR & AED certification prior to course start date. Check our training calendar for upcoming dates.

Important Information to Note

  • Students are required to be on time, bring a lunch, snacks, and drinks,
  • Wear comfortable clothing so they can conduct CPR “kneeling on the floor”, and clothing that is NOT offensive to others.
  • All students will be required to make physical contact with other students as required in first aid.
  • We request that students do not bring nuts of any kind to this course as a courtesy to students who have an anaphylactic reaction to them.

Formal Student Withdrawals, No Shows, and Unsuccessful Candidates

  • Individual students, or the representing company of each student, is fully responsible for the student’s formal withdrawal via email from the class that the student was enrolled in. Formal student withdrawal can be made up to 5 business days prior to class start date at 100% refund. A $40 administration fee will be charged for each student who withdraws less than 5 days prior to the course.   • No shows will be charged the full 100% of registration fee, late students may not be permitted into class at the discretion of the instructor.
  • Students who are unsuccessful in completing the course requirements will not be reimbursed the registration fee.

Training

Canada’s north country can be challenging and not all of our customers are comfortable on every machine we rent. That's why we provide both in-person and online training on every unit we sell, alongside special safety training that can support our customers no matter what terrain they encounter. Individual online training can be completed at your own pace, or in-person group training can be arranged for a date and location of your convenience.
